Band Update
Thursday, 16 October 2008 19:55
First of all, we would like to thank all the bands that opened up for us over the summer months including Maximum Penalty, SubZero, Have Heart, Everyday Dollars, Verse, Inhuman, Skin Kandy, Malignancy, The Boardloards, Outbreak, Cruel Hand, Foundation and The Carrier. We would also like to thank all of you who came out to the shows in Philly, Haverhill, Yonkers and New York.

We are still in and out of the studio recording vocals for the new release “Three Steps Back” which we plan to release by March of next year. Last week we confirmed that we would be opening for the legendary Bad Brains at The Fillmore @ Irving Plaza, New York on Wednesday, November 5th. Hope you can all make it out. Later in December we will be playing out in Long Island. As soon as we get the details, we will post the info in “Upcoming Shows”.

New Album "Three Steps Back"
Tuesday, 02 September 2008 00:00

Killing Time is now in the studio recording our third full-length album appropriately named "Three Steps Back." The album is scheduled to be released in early 2009. The band started work on the album in January 2008 after returning from our tour of Japan and South Korea. To write the material, we decided to bring it back to where it all started—Drago’s parents’ garage, the place where Breakdown had formed and where the classic “Brightside” record had been written and rehearsed. We see “Three Steps Back” as both a return to the band’s roots and a new vision of what a classic hardcore band can still accomplish. We think that these twelve news songs bring New York Hardcore back to its punk beginnings while still offering up that classic Killing Time crunch and power.

"Telltale" on GTA IV
Monday, 01 September 2008 00:00

The long awaited Grand Theft Auto IV hit stores on Tuesday, April 29th, 2008. Make sure to check out the Liberty City Hardcore channel hosted by Jimmy Gestapo and featuring music from Killing Time, Underdog, Maximum Penalty among many others. RockStar Games chose the classic track "Telltale" to represent the band. A pretty unlikely candidate for the "Brightside" LP but a very appropriate decision as far as we're concerned, here's why. The music for "Telltale" was actually written while the original Breakdown line-up was still together and was intended for that band. It was the only song that Rich, Carl and Drago took with them to start building material for Killing Time. The song, which is about the tensions that that led to the Breakdown break-up, was also the first song that Anthony sang with the band, the first time we all got together.
