no longer suffer from delusions of change. i can only hope for distraction. can’t afford to self medicate the strange. but can’t deny the attraction. motivation and fear are the same talk of peace is unlikely is this my only inheritance? racing from the cradle to the grave. running on the fumes of confusion. no time to wash the blood from the stage. no time for rational solutions. avoidance is an impulse. sobriety, an insult. is this my only inheritance?
